Payment & Cancellation Policy
This page restates the terms of clause 8 of our Terms of Service in plain language. The Terms of Service are binding; where the two differ, the Terms prevail. Last updated 7 October 2026.
1. Classes — cooking, coffee and art
Paid in full at the time of booking. We do not refund classes in cash. If you cancel or cannot come, the amount you paid becomes a credit, good for twelve months against another class date or against anything in our shop. If we have to cancel, you choose: another date, or your money back in full.
2. Private chef — in your chalet, hotel or home
How the price is made up. The menu is priced per guest. Chef time is charged on top, by the hour, with a minimum of eight hours per evening; the hourly rate depends on the season and is stated in your offer. Wine and anything else you ask for are quoted separately.
A deposit of 70% of the quoted amount confirms the booking, payable as soon as you accept the offer in writing. The deposit is non-refundable and is credited in full against your final bill — it is part of the price, not a fee on top. The balance is due 7 days before the date. Anything added on the night — extra hours, extra courses, more staff, drinks, materials — is invoiced afterwards and payable within 7 days.
This applies to every date, Christmas and New Year included. There is no separate date-reservation fee.

Refunds are made within 14 days of written cancellation, to the payment method you originally used. If we have to cancel, you receive everything you paid — the deposit included — or another date, at your choice.
3. The Aroleid — taking the whole house
Exclusive use of the house at Furi 151 carries a minimum spend for the evening. It is not a room rate: it is met by the food and drink of the evening itself. If the bill comes to less, we invoice the difference.

Deposit. The full minimum spend is due 90 days before the date and comes off the final bill. If you book inside 90 days, it is due on confirmation.
Cancellation. Free of charge more than 90 days before the date. Half the minimum between 45 and 90 days. The full minimum inside 45 days.
24 December to 2 January. The festive nights follow their own rule: the full minimum spend is paid when you book. It is not refundable, but it can be moved to another free date in the same season.
Numbers. The room holds thirty; we cook for one table. Tell us the final number at least 72 hours before. If it then drops by more than 10%, the agreed menu price is charged for the difference — the food has been bought and the evening has been held for you.
Wine outside the agreed list, outside services and anything you bring in are quoted separately with your offer.
4. If we have to cancel
Illness, accident, force majeure or an official order: you get another date or a full refund of everything already paid, at your choice. Where something outside both our hands makes the evening impossible, we will find a fair solution together.
5. Prices and law
All prices are in Swiss francs and include VAT. Swiss law applies, in particular the Code of Obligations. The place of jurisdiction is Visp, Valais.
