Trained in Michelin kitchens, based in Zermatt.
Marián Podola came up through London’s leading luxury caterers. At Rhubarb he was Head Chef at the Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea; at Absolute Taste he cooked as head chef for the McLaren Formula 1 team — the work that led him to Gordon Ramsay. He went on to train under Ramsay, Jason Atherton and Heston Blumenthal, cooked at the London Olympics for Omega, and has cooked privately for guests including Ozzy Osbourne, Elton John and David Beckham’s family.
Born in the Czech Republic, he started cooking at seventeen and has worked in kitchens for more than twenty-five years, nine of them Michelin-starred. For the past nine years he has been based in Zermatt, where he runs The Private Chef, Zermatt Kaffee and The Aroleid House: a private-chef service, a specialty coffee roastery, and a restaurant listed in the MICHELIN Guide.
