The Aroleid House.
A private house for fire-cooked food and original art. Ski to the door and have the whole private dining room to yourselves.

Which evening?
Aroleid is a private dining room — the house of Marián Podola and the painter Pavlinsky. One table a night, booked privately or hired exclusively, cooked and served by the two people whose home it is.

Art & Dine.

How booking works
Each evening has a minimum spend, not a room charge. It is met by the food and drink of the night, in Swiss francs, including VAT.
The full minimum is paid 90 days before and comes off your final bill. Cancel free more than 90 days out; half the minimum between 45 and 90 days; the full minimum inside 45.
24 December – 2 January: the full minimum is paid when you book. It is not refundable, but it can be moved to another free date in the same season.
The room holds thirty; we cook for one table.
The food
Cooked over fire — Alpine produce, global influence, modern French technique underneath. The menu is written for your table and changes with the week. Wine and a sommelier are quoted with your menu; the coffee is roasted downstairs by Zermatt Kaffée®.
Getting there · the house
Furi 151, above Zermatt. Ski to the door in winter, or take the cable car to Furi.
Aroleid reopened in 2018 after a full renovation of the house, and was listed in the MICHELIN Guide every year from 2020 to 2025. Zermatt Keramik is on the shelves — hand-thrown pieces, made here, for sale at the house.
Tell us the date.
The evening, the number, and anything we should cook around. We send back the evening we would cook for you, with the minimum for that date confirmed.
- Marián reads it himself.
- The evening we would cook for you comes back, usually within a day.
- The date is held once the minimum is paid.
